You Share Hope for the Holidays

Patricia Sterling - You Share Hope
Patricia shows off the fresh eggs she received at Society of Samaritans Food Pantry, a Montgomery County Food Bank partner agency.

Kyle is 11 and loves snacks and fruit as a source of energy. He also loves fishing and exercising outside. But Kyle has a problem that can’t necessarily be solved simply by eating nutritious food and playing outdoors...

Kyle has a mass that may be cancerous. He and his mom, Patricia, are unsure of what the future holds.

This unforeseen medical issue, besides being a source of extreme emotional turmoil, is a huge financial drawback for the family.

“We need help with food,” Patricia says.

Patricia is a CNA (certified nurse assistant), but it has been hard for her to find a job during the pandemic. And now she has no idea how she’ll keep providing for her family while spending money on the treatment Kyle needs to get better.

Thankfully, now Patricia has you to relieve some of the pressure she’s facing.

“You are a big help,” she says in reference to the food you’ve helped provide that goes a long way in helping her make ends meet.

Kyle has an appointment for a biopsy soon. Until then, he and his mom are incredibly thankful for your support that provides them and neighbors experiencing similar hardship with one less worry this holiday season.
