When the lunchtime delivery van arrives at the home of Kimberly, 3, the first thing she does is look through the brown bag lunch for a cheese snack. It’s her favorite, mom Taylor explains.
Kimberly’s brother, Scott, 2, also looks forward to the meal deliveries.
Every weekday, the children receive a healthy lunch of protein, veggies, snacks and milk or juice from Kids Meals, a program that partners with Montgomery County Food Bank to serve families with preschool-aged children who might not otherwise have consistent nutrition at home.
“The kids love the fun drawings that are always on the bags. It just shows the extra effort put into making them smile,” Taylor shares.
Taylor works in retail service, but her income isn’t always enough to cover the cost of all the groceries her family needs.
Taylor is so grateful for friends like you who help provide extra support. Your partnership means Taylor’s little ones have the nutrition they need to grow, learn and thrive. Thank you so much for your compassion!
