At the Nexus Neurorecovery Center in Conroe, adults who have suffered a traumatic brain injury can find rehabilitative care and holistic treatment. The residents work hard to return to work, school and independent living — all while being supported by caring staff.

Last year, Nexus residents also started a new project — volunteering at Montgomery County Food Bank. The volunteers help pack, sort and separate food, as well as assist the Produce Rescue Center in composting efforts.

With the help of our Nexus volunteers, we can provide needed food to our neighbors facing hunger. The Nexus residents help with a variety of tasks every week with an inspiring work ethic and commitment to our mission of uniting the community to fight hunger.

Aaron, our most frequent Nexus volunteer, recently became a Hope Harvester – an title given for commitment and dedication to the Food Bank. Aaron is a true leader for every Nexus volunteer, who are each on their way to becoming Hope Harvesters.
