Like many families and individuals throughout Montgomery County, Stacy is having to make tough decisions right now.

Her husband is retired, and she works at a local grocery store, but prices are so high that she is having to choose between buying healthy food or paying bills. 

“It is really hard getting by with cost-of-living prices going through the roof,” she says. “The 10% discount that I receive working at the grocery store is just not enough.”

Stacy is dealing with health issues that include a heart condition and COPD, so she knows good nutrition is important. When a plumbing crisis wiped out their savings, she visited our food pantry partner, Abundant Harvest Kitchen, to get help putting healthy food on the table for herself, her husband and son who lives with them. 

Stacy is thankful for everyone who gives to ensure neighbors who are struggling to make ends meet can access healthy food during difficult days. She says, “The things that you are doing for us are helping so much. Having this supplement eases my mind, so I don’t have to worry.”
