Montgomery County, TX, June 17, 2026 – Montgomery County Food Bank kicked off its fifth annual Outrun Hunger event, presented by H-E-B, on June 13, 2026 at Grand Central Park in Conroe, Texas. Clouds of color, cheering crowds, and more than 600 runners filled the trails, powering through to raise record-breaking funds that will provide hundreds of thousands of meals to neighbors in need this summer.
This year’s Outrun Hunger featured a new 8K trail run, in addition to the 5K trail run and 1K color dash. The fun continued beyond the finish line, where runners and walkers enjoyed the event’s Party Pavilion, food trucks, Kids’ Zone, yard games, DJ, and more. The morning also featured a performance of the National Anthem by the Chamber Choir from The Woodlands High School.
