Montgomery County, TX, March 2, 2023 – Montgomery County Food Bank announced Woodforest National Bank donated $100,000 to help the nonprofit organization further its vision of a community where everyone has access to sufficient, nutritious food. At the Food Bank, every dollar donated provides up to four meals, so this donation helps provide up to 400,000 meals for those in need throughout the county. 

Montgomery County Food Bank is working hard to meet the steady demand for food assistance as grocery prices and the overall cost of living continue to rise. In January alone, the Food Bank served a total of 761,491 meals to 71,752 people facing hunger in Montgomery County.

So many of our neighbors are facing increasingly difficult choices every day and we want to relieve them of that burden.”
