Montgomery County, TX, October 28, 2025 – Montgomery County Food Bank is proud to announce the completion of its 18,000-square-foot facility expansion, a transformational milestone in its ongoing mission of uniting the community to fight hunger. The newly expanded space will allow the Food Bank to distribute 1 million more meals each year, helping to meet a rapidly growing need for food assistance across Montgomery County. Nearly 9 million meals were distributed to Montgomery County neighbors in 2024.
Located within one of the fastest growing counties in the country, Montgomery County Food Bank strategically planned and fundraised through their “Build Today, Feed Tomorrow” capital campaign to ensure it could stay ahead of demand and strengthen its ability to serve more neighbors, more efficiently. With an estimated 100,000 Montgomery County residents facing food insecurity — a number that continues to rise — Montgomery County Food Bank stands ready to serve with expanded capacity and unwavering commitment.
“This expansion represents far more than bricks and mortar,” said Kristine Marlow, President and CEO of Montgomery County Food Bank. “It’s about people, purpose, and partnership. It’s about what happens when a community comes together with compassion and determination to fight hunger. It’s an investment in the future of our community—one that will allow us to serve more people, provide more nutritious food, and do so with greater efficiency and care.”

Our team was honored to help guide this significant expansion, including the new Howard Hughes Produce Rescue Center, to meet the growing needs of our community.”
The project was made possible through the generosity of local individuals, businesses, and foundations who contributed to the Build Today, Feed Tomorrow campaign.
