MCFB Announces New Director of Programs

Montgomery County, TX, August 10, 2021 – Montgomery County Food Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Painter as its new Director of Programs. In his role, Painter will oversee the food bank’s programs, develop and manage relationships with the food bank’s partner agencies including schools and senior care partners, and increase equitable food access among those who experience barriers to sufficient, nutritious food.

Mike Painter, Director of Programs for Montgomery County Food Bank

Mike graduated cum laude from the Texas Tech University School of Law and began his legal career with a prestigious Texas defense firm working primarily in health care litigation. After assisting clients such as hospitals, physicians, and nursing homes, Mike decided to leave the legal profession in search of a career that would allow him to serve and assist the senior community, leading him to Comfort Keepers. Painter served as President and General Counsel for three Comfort Keeper franchises, which provide uplifting care, transportation and support to seniors living independently at home. In his time at Comfort Keepers, Painter was responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with the Texas Department of Health and Human Services, managing all financial aspects, and facilitating community involvement.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mike to the Montgomery County Food Bank family and leadership team,” said Kristine Marlow, President and CEO of Montgomery County Food Bank. “I am confident Mike’s passion, commitment to service and seasoned leadership will strengthen and enhance our programs and allow our team to best serve our many neighbors in need.”

“I am excited to bring my knowledge and experience to Montgomery County Food Bank by helping to expand the great work that it already does,” said Mike Painter. “The food bank has a terrific team in place, and I cannot wait to join them in serving the residents of Montgomery County.”

Painter holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama and a juris doctorate from the Texas Tech University School of Law. He is a member of The Woodlands United Methodist Church and volunteers as the Deputy Commander for Cadets for the Civil Air Patrol.  Mike and his wife Marjorie live in The Woodlands with their two sons, John Wyatt and Travis.
