Local Families Give Thanks for You

Margarita picks up nutritious greens from Grace Crossing Church in Conroe.
Margarita picks up nutritious greens from Grace Crossing Church in Conroe.

This summer, your support is a lifeline to Margarita’s family.

Margarita lives with her daughter and grandchildren and says the family often has a tough time keeping the bills paid. Her daughter works two jobs to make ends meet. Margarita helps supplement her income, but her very limited monthly disability check doesn’t go very far.

The loving grandmother spends most of her time caring for her three growing grandkids while their mom works tirelessly to keep the lights on and food on the table.

Summers are always especially difficult because the children lose access to the meals they typically eat at school. Because of the pandemic, that challenge has nearly doubled. That’s why Margarita is so grateful for friends like you.

With your partnership, she can visit the food pantry at Grace Crossing Church near her home in Conroe for help with food. She loves to bring home bags full of fresh produce and use it to make balanced meals for her family.

“I couldn’t make it work without the Montgomery County Food Bank,” Margarita says.

On behalf of the countless families who have renewed hope because of you, thank you for your generous support!
