Cherie's official title is Kroger's Community Specialist, but she is known for so much more throughout our community. A recent graduate of Leadership Montgomery County's (LMC) class of 2023, Cherie volunteers with several nonprofits and serves on countless committees. She's visited the Food Bank with groups from Kroger, LMC, The Woodlands Chamber Volunteer Service Team, the YMCA — and even with her 11-year-old grandson. Cherie has shown up time and time again to fight hunger in our community.
We first connected with Cherie last year, when she invited the Food Bank to speak about volunteer opportunities to a group of local professionals. Soon after, she coordinated a very successful, month-long food drive across three Kroger locations – Kroger is a top supporter of the Food Bank. Now, whenever we add a volunteer opportunity to the calendar for Kroger employees, we know Cherie will be the first to sign up! We are so fortunate for Cherie’s heart for service.
