A Letter from the Board of Directors

Montgomery County Food Bank CEO Search

The Montgomery County Food Bank Board of Directors has begun a search for our next CEO, led by board members Dr. Ann Snyder and Kathy Pepper. Ann is the former CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands and Interfaith Community Clinic and currently serves on the Woodlands Township Board of Directors.  Kathy is a former executive with Exxon Mobil and current chair of the MCFB Development Committee.

The Board of Directors extends its eternal gratitude to Allison Hulett for three years of passionate leadership and great progress. Words cannot express our appreciation for her stewardship through two major crises, Hurricane Harvey and the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as her vision in developing a comprehensive strategic plan and building a strong team for the future.

Under Allison’s leadership, MCFB was able to grow its mission of Uniting the Community to Fight Hunger by innovating delivery channels and providing more nourishment to those in need than in any prior three-year period in our history.

Under Allison’s leadership, MCFB was able to strengthen partner-agency relationships and increase the use of mobile markets, which allows MCFB to meet our clients closer to home and to deliver more nutritious meals to them.  Allison also enlisted the help of our corporate partners to extend the life of fresh produce, increasing usage and reducing waste.

Please join me, and the entire Board of Directors, in thanking Allison for her many contributions to the mission of Montgomery County Food Bank.  We wish her all the best in her new role and know that she will continue to be an exemplary professional, person and friend of MCFB.

Kelly Holmes
Chairman

ABOUT MONTGOMERY COUNTY FOOD BANK
Montgomery County Food Bank began in 1985 as a door-to-door operation run out of car trunks by a small group of volunteers wanting to serve those in need in their community. Throughout the past 30 years, generous donors and volunteers have built it into an organization capable of distributing over 8 million pounds of food annually. The Food Bank also hosts mobile food distributions, offers nutritional education programs, emergency assistance in the time of a disaster or crisis, and provides meal programs for children and senior citizens.

Montgomery County Food Bank is 501(c)(3) chartered by the state of Texas and is a member of the Texas Food Bank Network and Feeding America. Its headquarters is located at 1 Food For Life Way in Conroe, near Hwy. 242 and I-45, just north of The Woodlands.
