The East Texas Dream Center, a partner agency since 2013, has done extraordinary work following the catastrophic events of Hurricane Harvey.
In regular business, the center operates a residential program serving young women and children as well as a regular pantry to serve their community, specifically targeting the homeless population.
In the immediate aftermath of the hurricane, the center staff, residents, and volunteers began distributing food throughout the county. They are now hosting regular “block parties” to engage the hardest hit communities. They will distribute food, set up fun games and activities, and promote general fellowship.
Since Harvey, they have served almost 20,000 individuals, and we are so proud to serve as their partner!
